Cookie Policy

This policy explains how NetPix (netpix.co.za) uses cookies and similar technologies. In short: we use the few we need to keep you logged in and make the site work, and we don't use advertising cookies.
What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files a website saves on your device. Similar technologies, such as browser storage, do the same job. They let a site remember who you are between pages and visits.
What we use

Third parties
Some features load services from other companies, which may set their own cookies or collect technical information such as your IP address:
- Paystack – processes card payments when you top up. NETPIX does not store your card details.
- Google Sign-In – only if you choose to log in with Google.
- Google Fonts – your browser fetches the fonts we use from Google when a page loads.
- jsDelivr – a content delivery network that serves a small helper script used for photo uploads, so it sees your IP address when a page loads.
These companies' own privacy and cookie policies apply to what they collect.
Activity statistics
When you're logged in, we record which pages you visit and roughly how long you're actively using NetPix. We stop counting after 5 minutes without any activity. This doesn't use cookies – the information is sent from the page to our own server – and it's linked to your account. We use it to understand how NetPix is used and improve it, for administrator statistics, and to help detect abuse. We keep these records for as long as your account is open.
What we don't do
We don't use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies, and we don't sell your information.
Your choices
You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. If you block the essential cookies above, you won't be able to log in or vote. You can also clear browser storage and cached data from your browser's site settings at any time.

How we collect, use and protect your personal information, and your rights under the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), are explained in our Privacy Policy.
Changes and questions
